4x4 Fabrications

4x4 Fabrications is a small, hands-on workshop in Christchurch, New Zealand, that designs and hand-builds custom-engineered accessories for 4x4 utes and off-road vehicles. We make tilting and flat tub racks, rear dirt bike carriers, bars and one-off mounts — every one of them measured, cut, welded and finished by hand in our own shop rather than imported and re-badged.

Our gear is built for people who actually use their 4x4: tradies carrying tools and materials through the week, hunters and fishers heading off the seal, and families loading roof-top tents, bikes and gear onto a ute that has to keep working as a ute. Because every rack is fabricated to your exact tub dimensions, you keep full use of the tray while carrying more on top.

We work from a growing database of New Zealand and Australian ute tubs — Hilux, Ranger, Triton, Navara, D-Max, Amarok and more — and confirm your vehicle before anything is cut. Each build is tagged with the vehicle it was made for, welded with mig and tig, and can be supplied raw steel, powder coated or painted. If it fails under normal use, we fix it.
